Vinales - Pinar del Rio

 

 

Viñales ist Eine Ortschaft in der kubanischen Provinz Pinar del Rio. Sie Liegt im gleichnamigen Tal Valle de Vinales, ca. 30 km Nördlich von Pinar del Rio, Zwischen den niedrigen Gebirgszügen der "Cordillera de Guaniguanico". Der Ort hat 27,972 Einwohner (2011) und wurde 1879 gegründet. Seit der Öffnung Kubas für Den Tourismus hat Sich Das Dorf zum meistbesuchten Ort in der gesamten Provinz Entwickelt. Aus dem fruchtbaren Talboden ragen unwegsame Kegelkarsbeerge auf, sterben "Mogotes", Matrize der Landschaft Das Typische AUSSEHEN geben. Zwei Kleinere Höhlen (Cueva de San Miguel) und (Cueva del Indio) Sind zu Fuß vom Ort Erreichbar. 17 km Westlich befindet Sich Das Größte Höhlensystem Cubas mit 46 km Ausdehnung, sterben Caverna de Santo Tomas.

Neben dem Tourismus is the Tabakanbau sterben wichtigste Einnahmequelle der bewohner. Das Dorf ist ein Nationalmonument und wurde 1999 von der UNESCO zusammen In with the Tal Valle de Vinales und Dessen Landwirtschaftlicher Anbautradition zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt.

Tourist centered on the Viñales Valley is developing, the area being protected by constitution since February 1976, and declared a national monument in October 1978th The Viñales Valley has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since November 1999,  for the outstanding karst landscape and traditional agriculture as well as vernacular architecture, crafts and music.

Attractions in Viñales include the Municipal Museum, Casa de Caridad Botanical Gardens, Museo Paleontológico, Palenque (a Maroon village) and the nearby caves (Cueva del Indio, Cueva de José Miguel, Cueva de Santo Tomás), Valle de Viñales National Park, Which were refuges for runaway slaves. There is therefore a cave that doubles as a nightclub.

Casas particulares (private residences that have been tailored and licensed to operate as bed and breakfasts) offer accommodations to visitors year-round. There are therefore three hotels located a few kilometers outside of town, rated three stars: La Ermita, Los Jazmines, and Horizontes Rancho San Vicente. The campismo Dos Hermanas Comprises 54 cabins (available to tourists), a swimming pool and restaurante.
